Happy Day

I'm back with another card featuring Forever Loved. While the set is a sympathy set, I knew the flowers would pair so well with many other sentiments.

I created twenty-five backgrounds in January and I am just starting to incorporate them into cards. For this background, I used the peppermint stripe stencil with three different colors of ink. I stamped the sentiments directly on the panel in black ink.

I stamped the flowers with versafine claire nocturne ink on white cardstock and die cut out. I colored the leaves with Altenew alcohol markers and watercolored the flowers with Arteza real brush pens. I was afraid they would look funny using the two different mediums, but it actually worked out quite well. I assembled the card as seen popping the flowers up with foam tape and added three small gems to finish it off.

You're too Kind

There is nothing better than a handwritten note to let someone know how much their thoughtfulness means to you. May thank you notes never go out of style or be completely replaced by texts.

This card went together pretty quickly as I pulled the floral image from my stash of previously colored items. The floral spray was stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, heat set, colored with Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers and fussy cut out. I created the background with the Peppermint Stripe stencil, two different yellow inks and rotated the stencil a quarter turn for the second ink color to create the plaid. I die cut the scalloped oval(MFT) and stamped the sentiments from Kindness Matters.
