You're too Kind

There is nothing better than a handwritten note to let someone know how much their thoughtfulness means to you. May thank you notes never go out of style or be completely replaced by texts.

This card went together pretty quickly as I pulled the floral image from my stash of previously colored items. The floral spray was stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, heat set, colored with Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers and fussy cut out. I created the background with the Peppermint Stripe stencil, two different yellow inks and rotated the stencil a quarter turn for the second ink color to create the plaid. I die cut the scalloped oval(MFT) and stamped the sentiments from Kindness Matters.

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps October Release Hop & Giveaway

We are so excited to be hopping today with some inspiration with the fabulous October Release. Hop along and leave a little comment love for the designers linked below and you just might be the lucky winner of a $25 gift voucher to the Sweet n' Sassy Stamps shop. Winner will be announced on the SNSS blog, Wednesday, October 21st.

First up is the Stamp for a Cause set, Fear Not, available for pre-order today.  This set is filled with encouraging scriptures that you can use to create cards to uplift others and help a family in need at the same. That's a win-win in my book!

This card features Fear Not, In This Together, and Bee Sweet. This card went together pretty quick because I used colored images from my stash and a favorite layout. The images were stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink onto Canson mixed media paper, colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens and hand trimmed out. I cut the layering pieces with a die from MFT. I was super excited to find some purple gingham and cardstock in my stash that coordinated with the coloring of my flowers.

My second card features the super adorable Winter Gnomes! The images are so cute and can be used all winter long. I stamped the image with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink on white cardstock, colored with Shuttle Art markers and fussy cut out. I dry embossed one panel with a snowflake folder and stamped snowflakes on the other with Soft Sky ink (SU!). Both panels were cut with dies from MFT and GMD. I assembled as seen adding strips of real red, handsome hunter and basic gray cardstock, stamped the sentiment with black ink and added some small silver sequins to finish it.

For my last card, I paired the new release set Welcome Home with Encouraging Thoughts. The team is having so much fun playing with this set! I created the background by ink blending cucumber crush, wild wasabi and soft sky ink (SU!) with a drifts & hills stencil (MFT) on white cardstock. I stamped the clouds, trees, and fences with bashful blue, wild wasabi, and chocolate chip (SU!) and the houses and roofs with distress oxide inks. I die cut the panel and attached to a layer of black and then to a more mustard base. I stamped the sentiment with black ink on a scrap of soft sky paper, die cut and affixed to the front.

Best Gift Ever

I know, it's only September and we are all thinking pumpkins and apple picking right now. However, this is also the time to be thinking about making your Christmas cards too, before you run out of time. Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps has an awesome new release featuring amazing Christmas sets you will want to add to your stash.

For today's card I paired the brand new Best Gift Ever sentiment set with the previously released In This Together.

I stamped the flowers from In This Together onto Canson mixed media paper with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink. I colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens (red, olive green, seaweed green and sunset yellow) and hand trimmed out. I stamped the sentiment with the same black ink onto a white stitched scallop edge die cut. Next, I die cut a stitched scallop edge rectangle piece of pattern paper (wonderful winter My Mind's Eye). I assembled the pieces as seen, popping the oval and flowers up with foam tape and adding gold sequins to finish it off.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and thanks for stopping by!

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps May Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the Sweet n' Sassy Stamps May Release Hop! There's another fabulous release in the SNSS shop that we've been stamping with and we're so excited to share our projects with you! Hop along and leave a little comment love for the designers linked below and you just might be a lucky winner! One lucky comment from all the comments along the hop will win a $10 gift voucher to the Sweet n' Sassy Stamps shop. Winner will be announced on the SNSS blog, Wednesday, May 20.

You guys are going to love these new sets!

For my first card, I used the gorgeous butterfly set Begin Again. I love butterflies and I love this set! I stamped the large butterfly with VersaFine Clair black ink and heat embossed with black embossing powder. I colored the image with Arteza Real Brush Pens (bumblebee yellow, orange, red) and fussy cut out. I die cut the white panel and splattered with orange and yellow ink. I stamped the sentiment with black ink, put a strip of washi tape underneath it and taped the panel to the yellow card base. As the final step, I attached the butterfly to the white panel, popping it up with foam tape.

For my second card, I used Begin Again and the May Stamp of the Month Encouraging Thoughts. Love the sentiments in the SOTM! I started by stamping the small and medium butterflies from Begin Again in VersaFine Clair black ink and heat embossed with black embossing powder. I colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens (bumblebee yellow, rouge pink and arctic blue) and fussy cut out. I had a little oops when I was fussy cutting and accidentally cut the antennas off the pink butterfly. My fellow design team member, Sheri Gilson, suggested I stamp the butterfly in black and position my colored one over the top for a bit of depth. I cut the antennas off the other two butterflies, die cut my white layering piece and stamped the butterflies in black ink in the center of the panel, spacing evenly. I stamped the sentiment from Encouraging Thoughts on the layering panel and adhered to the card base. Finally, I attached the butterflies popping them up with foam tape. I think I am finally getting more comfortable with creating clean and simple cards (CAS).

For my last card, I used the beautiful new set In This Together. As many of you know, this was released last month as a digital set. Korin had lots of requests to make it into a clear stamp set, so she did and included a few new sentiments with it. The images are so pretty colored up! I stamped the teacup with Ranger Archival black ink onto Canson XL watercolor paper. I colored the image with Altenew's Spring Garden Watercolor Brush Markers (moss, warm sunshine, rubellite and evening gray) and fussy cut out. I die cut the white panel and green pattern paper. Next, I taped the pattern paper onto the white panel, stamped the sentiment in black and attached the panel to the card base. As the last step, I adhered the teacup with foam tape and glued on a few sequins. I utilized sketch 434 from Freshly Made Sketches for my layout.
