Birthday Love

I recently made my first purchases from Altenew. I started with some stencils and then went back for a couple of stamp sets. This is my first card made with Altenew products! I knew the new Mini Delight: Birthday Love set would make some fun and quick birthday cards.

I started by stenciling a piece of SU! basic gray cardstock with Altenew's liquid marble stencil and hickory smoke distress oxide ink. Once dry, I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle from My Favorite Things. I stamped the balloon image onto white cardstock with SU! only orange, green galore and tempting turquoise inks. I stamped each image multiple times until I had the depth of color I wanted and cut out with the coordinating die.

I stamped the sentiment on white with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink and cut with the stitched sentiment strips from MFT. I taped a piece of white string to the back of each balloon. I attached foam tape to the back of the ballons and sentiment strip (leaving room in the center for the strings to go through). I figured out placement, secured images as seen and added some black enamel dots. I wanted to create a birthday card that was gender neutral that I could send to anyone, I think I succeeded.

Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!
