Peace Be Still Slimline Cards

Last month, when I made my Lovely Lotus slimline card, I colored up a few extra backgrounds to use with the new June release set, Peace Be Still, from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

For both cards, my card base is 9 1/4" x 4" (9 1/4" x 8", scored at 4"). I cut the layering piece at 8 3/4" x 3 1/2" from Canson XL watercolor paper. I stamped the boats and sun on the same type of paper with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink. I used Altenew's Spring Garden Watercolor Brush Markers to color the backgrounds (dusk and sea breeze). I used a combination of Altenew and Arteza watercolor brush markers to color the images and fussy cut them out. I did pull out my x-acto knife to cut in between the sails and smaller places.

I stamped the sentiments with black and the waves (first card) with a white pigment ink. After messing around with placement of the images I decided the sky needed birds. I do not own any silhouette stamps from SNSS. So, I dug around in my massive stamp collection until I found some birds to use and stamped them with black ink. Next, I popped both panels up on the card bases with foam tape. As the final step, I adhered the images to the front.

Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!
