I combined Coffee Talk and A Little Snarky from Super Sponsor Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps to create this fun card.

 

 

I originally made the coffee background a few months ago when Coffee Talk was released. My idea for it didn't quite work out so I put it aside figuring I would use it eventually. Fast forward to this month and the release of A Little Snarky and a new idea was born. 

I stamped her with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink onto white cardstock. I colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens and fussy cut out. My initial plan was to have her showing completly, but the blue ink from her shirt ran onto her arms and I couldn't fix it. So what's a girls to do but come up with an idea to make it work. I recently bought the polaroid shaker frame from MFT and knew that would be a good solution. I trimmed the girl down so she would fit inside the frame, stamped the sentiments and assembled as seen.

I Wonder...

I love the aroma of coffee and just the thought of it makes me happy! I confess, I think about coffee a lot. So when I saw the sentiments in the new Coffee Talk set I knew which sentiment I had to use first. 

 

 

Wouldn't it be nice if coffee thought about us as much as we think about it? 

I started by ink smooshing a background on Canson mixed media paper with mowed lawn and peacock feathers distress oxide inks. I dried in between layers of ink and kept going until I reached the desired depth of color and cut the panel with a  stitched rectangle die. Next, I used four of the images from Grunge Elements 2 to create the background. I chose a combination of Distress Ink (antique linen, vintage photo) and SU! inks (close to cocoa, creamy caramel) to get the coffee stain look I desired. I stamped the sentiment from Coffee Talk with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink. I matted the panel on black and then onto a teal card base. 

Then, I stamped the coffee cup image from Fill Me Up with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink onto Canson mixed media paper and colored with Altenew watercolor brush markers. I stamped the cup cozy on white paper with peacock feathers distress oxide ink and cut both images with the coordinating dies. I attached the cup cozy to the cup and popped the coffee cup up with foam tape on the front.

I have had a lot of fun playing with the stamp of the month, Coffee Talk. The sentiments are perfect for all your coffee loving friends!

For my first card, I paired Coffee Talk with the Fill Me Up stamp set and coordinating dies. I started by stamping the white panel with one of the cups from Coffee Talk with distress oxide inks (mowed lawn, peacock feathers, wilted violet and picked raspberry). I cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die.  I stamped the coffee cup image from Fill Me Up with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink onto Canson mixed media paper and colored with Altenew watercolor brush markers. I stamped the cup cozy on white paper with tempting turquoise ink and die cut both images. I stamped the sentiment in the same black ink, added some black washi tape, attached layers as seen and popped the coffee cup up with foam tape.

 

 For my second card, I paired Coffee Talk with Sunshine in a Cup and Grunge Elements. I printed the digi coffee cup on Staples 110lb white cardstock. I colored with Altenew watercolor brush markers and cut out. Yes, you can watercolor on regular cardstock. The trick is to not have your brush too wet, it needs to be drier. I used four of the images from Grunge Elements to create the background. I chose a combination of Distress Ink (antique linen, vintage photo) and SU! inks (close to cocoa, creamy caramel) to get the coffee stain look I desired. I used the same stitched die and black ink as the card above. I assembled as seen and popped up the coffee cup with foam tape.
