Oldie but Goodie

I'm back with another guy card I added to my stash. I love, love, love the grunge gears stencil!

I created this background with the reverse image from this card. To create the reverse image, remove the stencil from the current project, spritz with water and lay another piece of cardstock over it. When you remove it you have this cool watercolor looking background to use on another card. Plus, you are not wasting ink because you get two backgrounds from one inking with the stencil. Score!

I laid the mixed up stencil over the top of the reverse panel and inked it up with antique linen distress ink. Then, I grabbed my grunge dots stencil and randomly inked distress oxide inks (rusty hinge, vintage photo, ground espresso) over the top. Next, I added black paint splatters, die cut the panel, embossed the sentiment on the front with black powder and matted with black.

I added brads in the corners and attached to a kraft cardbase. I stamped the other sentiment with black on a piece of white cardstocked inked with antique linen distress oxide ink. I trimmed the sentiment down and matted with black. I stamped and embossed the radio image with black ink and powder on brown cardstock. I fussy cut out and used an x-acto knife to cut around the inside of the handle. Finally, I glued the sentiment strip to the top and popped up the image with foam tape.
