Make a Wish

Today's card features Make a Wish from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

I started by stenciling the background on white cardstock with the Radiating Rays stencil from MFT and Concord & 9th inks (Aqua Sky and Oceanside). I then die cut the panel with a  stitched rectangle die from MFT. Next, I stamped the cupcake bottom with Honeysuckle ink and colored the top with a Sunset Yellow Arteza Real Brush Pen.

I stamped the cupcake frosting with Antique Linen distress ink for a little no line coloring with a Chocolate watercolor marker (Arteza). Since this is the first time I have tried the no line watercolor technique I was concerned how dark the outline was at first. Then, I was pleasantly surprised to see the darkness fade as it dried. Now I know why people like this technique so much!

I fussy cut the cupcake out and created a sentiment banner. I stamped the words in Oceanside ink and the sprinkles along the edge with Aqua Sky and Ballet Slipper. I assembled the card as seen, popping the cupcake up with foam tape and adding a couple of sequins.

I really love the new Make a Wish set!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day,

Karen
