You are a Blessing

Hey friends! I'm back with another encouragement card, my favorite kind to create. I had this idea in my head as soon as I saw the brand new April Stamp of the Month, Friendship is a Blessing.

I started by die cutting my black and white layering pieces with dies from Gina Marie Designs. I stamped the image from Blessings in Disguise on Canson XL watercolor paper with VersaFine Clair Nocture ink. I colored the flower  with Arteza Real Brush Pens (light magenta, crocodile green, sunset yellow) and fussy cut out. I dug deep in my stash to find a four square stencil. I centered it on the white panel and sponged with Bashful Blue ink. Which really isn't so bashful after a few layers. For the words, I used a combination of sentiments from the above stamp sets and Sweet Little Lamb. I stamped them in the same black ink as the flower. I had to mask off part of the sentiment from Sweet Little Lamb so I could just use the "You are a" part. Then, I assembled the card and popped the flower up for some dimension.

Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!

Karen
